How to Access
Navigate to Automate > Chatbot from the sidebar.
Creating a Chatbot
- Click Create Chatbot (or start from a template)
- Name your bot and set its personality/instructions
- Train your bot — add knowledge sources (more on this in the Training article)
- Customise appearance — set colours, avatar, and welcome message
- Test — chat with your bot in the preview to verify responses
- Deploy — get the embed code and add it to your website
Bot Configuration
- Name & avatar — give your bot a personality
- Welcome message — the first message visitors see
- Instructions — tell the bot how to behave (tone, topics to cover, topics to avoid)
- Fallback behaviour — what happens when the bot can't answer a question
Tip: Start simple. Create a bot trained on your FAQ page, test it thoroughly, then gradually expand its knowledge base.
