How to Add Your Own Anthropic API Key to SmartlyQ

To enhance your experience and utilize your own Anthropic API key in SmartlyQ, follow these simple steps. This guide will walk you through creating and retrieving your Anthropic API key, as well as adding it to the SmartlyQ platform.

Step 1: Creating Your Anthropic API Key

1. Sign Up or Log In:

• Go to the Anthropic Console.
• If you don’t have an account, sign up for a new account. If you already have one, simply log in with your credentials.

2. Access the Dashboard:

• Once logged in, navigate to the Dashboard of your account.

3. Create an API Key:

• Find and press the "Get API Keys" button in the list.
• Click on "+Create Key" button to generate a new key.
• Give it a name and then press the "Add" button.

4. Save your API Key:

• You will be presented with your newly created API Key. Make sure to copy and save it somewhere safe as you will need to insert this into SmartlyQ in the following steps.

Step 2: Adding Your Anthropic API Key to SmartlyQ

1. Log into SmartlyQ:

• Go to the SmartlyQ app and log in to your account.

2. Navigate to Avatar> Account**:**

• Look for the Account on the top left corner in the left side menu. Expand the "Avatar" dropdown (with your name) and select the "Account" option.

3. Find API Key Configuration:

• In the next screen select “AI Connect” from the left hand menu.

4. Paste Your API Key:

• In the provided field, paste the Anthropic API key you copied earlier.
• Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the key when pasting.

5. Select AI models**:**

• For each of the use case (Assistant model, Data Analyst model, Article Generator model and Image Generator model) select the preferred AI model. If you want to use the Anthropic API, then select any of the Claude AI models from the dropdown list:

• Check the box "Active and use my API key.".
• Ensure you click on “Save Changes” at the very bottom to store your changes.

Once you have saved your key, try generating content with SmartlyQ to ensure that it is using your Anthropic API key.
If you encounter any errors, double-check that your API key is correct and that your Anthropic account is in good standing.
