URL Shortener

Overview

SmartlyQ's built-in URL Shortener creates compact, trackable links for your social media posts, email campaigns, and anywhere else you share links.

Key Capabilities

  • Shorten URLs — convert long links into clean, short URLs
  • Click tracking — see how many times each link is clicked
  • Custom slugs — create branded short URLs (e.g., yourdomain.com/l/summer-sale)
  • Analytics — track clicks over time, referral sources, and geographic data
  • Bulk creation — shorten multiple URLs at once

How to Access

Navigate to Workspace > URL Shortener from the sidebar.

  1. Open the URL Shortener
  2. Paste the long URL you want to shorten
  3. Optionally set a custom slug
  4. Click Shorten
  5. Copy the short link and use it in your content

Tracking Performance

Each short link comes with analytics:

  • Total clicks — how many times the link was clicked
  • Click timeline — clicks per day/week
  • Source data — where clicks are coming from

Tip: Use custom slugs that describe the content or campaign. "yourdomain.com/l/webinar-2026" is more professional and trustworthy than a random string.
